Job Description
  1. Conduct/witness/assess Metering and Proving.
  2. Witness/assess Field Prover calibration by Water-draw and Master Meter Prover calibration methods in conformance with MPMS. Chap 4 and 12.
  3. Witness/Assess metering systems performance, troubleshoot measurement issues presented in meters and related instrumentation available at site, in order to pinpoint root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  4. Evaluate and develop a program for verifying and/or calibrating the related instrumentation (Temperature, Pressure, Diff. pressure, etc.).
  5. Keep up with new technology development in crude oil measurement to recommend equipment to ensure accurate hydrocarbon measurement.
  6. Liaison with Production, KNPC and KPC, when required to help identify system imbalances and provide effective solutions to reduce or eliminate such discrepancies.
  7. Review and write measurement KOC Standards, Manuals, Calibration procedures and new project specifications.
Qualifications
  1. Degree in Mechanical or Instrumentation Engineering with at least 20 years' proven experience in metering related measurement application as listed below:
Orifice meter applications (AGA3, ISO5167)

Positive Displacement meter applications

Turbine meter applications

Ultrasonic meter applications

Coriolis meter applications

  1. Knowledge and experience to assess and interact with all types of metering systems, turbine, PD, Orifice, Ultrasonic, and all types of provers, small volume, bi-directional, uni-directional and various measurement standards.
  2. Knowledge and experience of using various flow computers.
  3. Knowledge and experience to assess and interact with Automatic/Sampling Systems and/or In-Line densitometers.
  4. Knowledge and experience to assess and interact with Automatic Tank Gauging Systems.
  5. Ability to investigate and provide recommendations to correct situations that result in apparent loss/gain. Moreover, establish criteria to assess loss/gain and associated metering equipment performance tolerance.
  6. Familiar with Oil industry safety standards.
  7. Fluent in English. Knowledge in Arabic language preferred.
