***This position is physically located in Kuwait in support of LOGCAP***

Under the supervision of the Engineer and Special Purpose Equipment (ESPE) Supervisor, the Lead will oversee personnel engaged in ESPE maintenance, including testing, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC systems, Power Generation Equipment, Engineer Equipment, Special Purpose Equipment, Quartermaster Equipment, Material Handling Equipment (MHE), hydraulic systems, cylinder repairs/overhaul, and Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) equipment. The role involves utilizing Global Combat Support Systems-Army (GCSS-Army) to monitor daily operations and maintenance-related supply transactions.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the ESPE supervisor in their absence.
  • Analyze malfunctions and lead Field Level Maintenance operations for various equipment.
  • Plan and schedule maintenance and services for assigned equipment.
  • Establish maintenance schedules based on equipment availability and parts.
  • Manage tools, equipment, and spare parts as hand receipt holder.
  • Monitor work orders and ensure daily reporting accuracy.
  • Maintain stock and POL in accordance with regulations.
  • Identify causes of equipment readiness issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Enforce standards, provide safety, quality, and maintenance reports.
  • Perform routine inspections and prepare reports/briefings.
  • Oversee driver training for Heavy Equipment, Special Purpose Equipment, and MHE.
  • Perform environmental control duties and other assigned tasks.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Education/Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent; U.S. Citizenship or CAC eligibility; ability to obtain Kuwaiti Driver's License; valid US Driver's License for at least 18-24 months.
  • Certifications: GCSS-Army certification required; others preferred (Caterpillar, RETCH, EPA, ASE).
  • Experience: 2-4 years of maintenance and supply management, with at least 1 year in leadership; military or civilian training in Engineer, Utilities, Power Generation, or Construction Equipment Maintenance preferred.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of GCSS-Army, TAMMS, Class IX Supply, troubleshooting HVAC and Caterpillar engines, leadership, communication, organizational skills, proficiency in MS Office, and knowledge of OSHA and environmental policies.
Working Conditions
  • Work in extreme weather conditions, including hot desert environments.
Physical Requirements
  • Medium work, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in physically demanding environments with PPE as required.
