Aircraft Maintenance Program Coordinator I

Overview: Under the direction of the KAF Directorate of Logistics and Support, the Aircraft Maintenance Program Advisor will provide essential advisory assistance and training to the KAF on all maintenance and maintenance management programs. The advisor will assist in developing, implementing, and coordinating aviation maintenance programs and procedures in line with the Kuwait Aviation Maintenance Program (KAMP) procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Technical Expertise and Training
    • Deliver technical expertise, advice, and training on aircraft technical matters to KAF officers and enlisted personnel.
  2. Policy and Procedure Evaluation
    • Review, evaluate, and provide strategic advice to KAF managers on existing policies and procedures.
  3. Program Development and Implementation
    • Assist KAF officers, enlisted personnel, and civilians in developing, implementing, and coordinating effective management programs for aircraft weapons systems.
  4. Problem Analysis and Corrective Measures
    • Analyze problem areas within maintenance programs and recommend corrective measures to resolve deficiencies.
  5. On-the-Job Training (OJT) and Cross Training
    • Support on-the-job training (OJT) and cross training initiatives to enhance the skills of KAF personnel.
  6. Technical Directives and Communication
    • Assist KAF officers in managing incoming NAVAIR letters and technical directives, providing clear guidance on their implementation.
Minimum Personnel Qualifications:
  1. Experience:
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in an aviation maintenance technical field.
    • At least 4 years of experience in positions related to the implementation of COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 Series.
  2. Technical Skills:
    • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, schematics, and detailed instructions, and effectively communicate this information to KAF personnel.
  3. Administrative Skills:
    • Management-level administrative capabilities with the ability to provide detailed instructions to foreign nationals.
  4. Computer Skills:
    • Proficiency with PCs and familiarity with commercial word processing programs.
  5. Security Clearance:
    • Must possess a US Secret security clearance.
