University of Maryland University College (UMGC) is seeking adjunct faculty members for its History program. The ideal candidate will possess a master's degree in History or a related field from an accredited institution, along with professional experience in a related field. Experience teaching adult learners online and in higher education is strongly preferred.

Applicants must be local and able to maintain their own legal status in the country of application. Adjunct faculty positions do not include UMGC-sponsored logistical support.

Materials needed for submission:

  • Cover letter (highly preferred)
  • Unofficial transcripts for all conferred degrees with conferral date
  • International degree holders may need to submit a translation/degree evaluation from a NACES-approved vendor if selected.

Faculty Training:

All new faculty are required to complete an online two-week orientation, FacDev 412, as a condition of hire.
