Important Notice:

Amentum is seeking linguists with exceptional English skills to enhance our global team's diversity and support our mission's success.

Linguists will work as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in assigned areas of responsibility, providing language services and cultural expertise to senior leadership staff. They will contribute to U.S. military operations in Kuwait by supporting OCONUS efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Offer operational contract linguist support for military operations, including interpretation during interviews, meetings, and conferences.
  2. Transcribe and analyze verbal communications.
  3. Research, scan, and analyze foreign language documents for key information.
  4. Provide translation and interpretation services in Nepali.

Requirements:

  1. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  2. Excellent command of Nepali (target language) & English verbal skills; ILR proficiency level 3 in target language and proficiency level 2+ in English required.
  3. Current U.S. passport or ability to apply upon acceptance into the program.
  4. Active Secret clearance for access to classified information.
  5. Willingness to work in Kuwait and other Middle East locations.
  6. Flexibility to work shifts and extended hours in support of 24/7 operations.
  7. Familiarity with and ability to conduct oneself according to local culture and customs.
  8. Under the age of 65, meeting army MOD15 medical and dental qualifications.
  9. If between 59-64, must provide proof of holding a college degree for residency requirements.
