Sun Administrator

• Perform system builds and hardware upgrades for Solaris and UNIX servers, as well as hardware maintenance and repairs/replacements.
• Maintain and enhance existing systems administrator tools.
• Diagnose and isolate operating system, server-side networking, and application-related problems.
• Maintain effective communications with IT Teams and other support organizations.
• Provide system backup support including user menus, scripts, backup software, and web-based monitoring tools.
• Assist with reporting metrics on system performance, stability, and utilization.
• Working environment: on-premises or cloud.

Skills

Areas of Expertise:

• Experienced in Solaris 10 (11 is a plus).
• Experienced in Open Boot Print.
• Experienced in installing patches and packages.
• Good experience in on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computers/Information Technology.
