Job Description:

We are looking for a highly motivated and creative Sous Chef to join our team in Al-Kuwait. As a Sous Chef, you will be expected to lead the kitchen team in creating high-quality food and managing day-to-day operations. You should be passionate about cooking and have the ability to inspire and motivate others.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with the Head Chef in developing and executing new menu items.
  2. Create recipes, determine portion sizes, estimate food requirements, and production schedules.
  3. Prepare high-quality dishes that adhere to company standards.
  4. Monitor inventory levels and restock supplies as needed.
  5. Supervise kitchen staff by providing guidance, coaching, training, and motivation.
  6. Ensure proper safety procedures are adhered to at all times in the kitchen area.
  7. Manage costs related to ingredients, labor, and other operational expenses.
Requirements:
  1. Minimum of 2 years experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a professional kitchen setting.
  2. Excellent knowledge of different cooking techniques such as roasting, grilling, braising, etc.
  3. In-depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food safety regulations, and knife handling skills.
  4. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Ability to delegate tasks effectively while maintaining oversight of all duties performed by staff members under your supervision.
