Amentum is hiring an Operations Specialist (Journeyman) to support Product Manager Force Protection Systems (PM FPS) and Product Manager Ground Sensors (PM GS) at locations both CONUS and OCONUS. This project includes product support activities such as spares, warehousing, maintenance, transportation, shipping, equipment operator training, contractor equipment operators, field support representatives (FSRs), systems sustainment, design engineering, and asset visibility management of the Integrated Base Defense (IBD) and Force Protection (FP) family of systems (FOS).

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare and update operational procedures.
  2. Assist in the operations and maintenance of an organization or department, performing complex technical work and supervising others as assigned.
  3. Instruct personnel in equipment and systems operations, maintenance, safe work practices, and administer apprenticeship programs.
  4. Investigate operational and maintenance issues and identify solutions.
  5. Perform root cause analysis on systems and equipment; develop project plans and coordinate activities.
  6. Ensure access to required operating orders and procedures for the operations group.
  7. Monitor and evaluate plant equipment and systems, recommending necessary changes for reliability.
  8. Implement improved work practices and processes in coordination with others.
  9. Provide technical input for project planning.
  10. Assist in departmental budget administration and report work performed.
  11. Analyze operational data to identify difficulties and recommend solutions.
  12. Develop evaluation processes to assess operational effectiveness and identify problem areas.
  13. Stay familiar with relevant concepts, practices, and procedures in the field.
  14. Use extensive experience and judgment to plan and achieve goals.
  15. Lead and supervise others.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of operational experience at site and regional levels, including OCONUS experience.
  • Active SECRET US Government Clearance (US citizenship required).
