Job Overview

Job Title: STRMM Fielding Network Engineer

Location: Camp Arifjan, Kuwait

Job Responsibilities

The STRMM Fielding Network Engineer will be responsible for managing STRMM and monitoring and controlling software-related issues OCONUS. The contractor will assist the SMC with OCONUS-related trouble tickets related to the STRMM or Monitor & Control software. The candidate should be well-versed with basic networking, proficient in Python and Java programming languages, and knowledgeable in Windows and Linux environments. Additionally, the STRMM Lead will be familiar with modern web development (HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, etc.). The Network Field Service Representative will coordinate with the STRMM lead and engineers for system priorities.

  • Experience with Global Security Systems (GSS), Access Control Entry (ACE), Wireless, Riverbeds, and Infoblox.
  • In-depth knowledge of LAN/WAN communications and network hardware, including Cisco routers, Ethernet switches, bridges, gateways, and firewalls.
  • Familiarity with routing protocols such as RIP, EIGRP, BGP, and OSPF.
  • Knowledge of programming languages, including Python and Java.
  • Experience with MPLS, VPLS, VPNs, and Traffic Engineering.
  • Managing local and wide area networks, overseeing projects, installing devices, and maintaining infrastructure.
  • Working knowledge of software supporting the SMC, Windows, and Linux environments.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance (Interim Secret acceptable).
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in IT customer support.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in a military environment.
  • Certifications: Network+ and Security+.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% to support missions.

Education

  • Associates degree in Computer Science or ten (10) years of recent specialized experience.
