We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Business Continuity Expert with extensive experience in Business Continuity Management (BCM), IT Disaster Recovery, and Risk Management. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of IT systems and regulatory environments—especially within banking, financial institutions, or central banks—and will be instrumental in ensuring organizational resilience and continuity of operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain the organization's Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery programs.
  • Conduct risk assessments, business impact analyses, and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Lead the execution of BCM strategies including crisis response, recovery planning, and awareness programs.
  • Plan, coordinate, and evaluate DR drills and Business Continuity tests.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to integrate BCM with IT, operations, and compliance strategies.
  • Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure programs remain current and compliant.
  • Develop BCM-related documentation, reports, memos, training materials, and presentations.
  • Provide expert guidance during incidents to ensure efficient response and recovery.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 12 years of professional experience in Business Continuity and related areas.
  • Proven experience in IT Disaster Recovery planning, implementation, and exercises.
  • Strong background in risk management, IT incident management, and compliance.
  • Prior working experience with BCM software tools is highly desirable.
  • Experience in banking, central banks, or financial regulators is strongly preferred.

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • Mandatory Certifications:
  • Certified Business Continuity Institute (CBCI) – BCI Good Practice Guide
  • ISO 22301 Lead Implementer
  • Preferred Certification:
  • ISO 22301 Lead Auditor

Preferred Skills & Expertise:

  • Strong strategic planning and analytical skills.
  • Deep understanding of IT systems and infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with ITIL best practices and audit frameworks.
  • Ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects.
  • Advanced documentation and presentation capabilities.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with efficiency.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.

Language Requirements:

  • Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking) is essential.
  • Arabic language proficiency is preferred.
